Roz Brooks

Roz graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) with a Bachelors in Business and a Master’s Degree in Education.  She taught in the public scool system for 7 years and in 2010 founded and started a 5-acre garden called Vegas Roots Community Garden.

A native of Las Vegas, she experienced the self-destructive eating habits of her African American culture first hand as a child. Eating meat, dairy, foods full of sugar, fat and alcohol causes many of the diseases that plague the community today. Losing her father to cirrhosis of the liver and having aunts and cousins who have health issues, has caused Roz to be proactive in educating hundreds of women, men and teens on how to keep their bodies healthy.

She emphasizes the importance of healing yourself naturally to live out your life's purpose.
